TRIAL& - PERFORMING ARTS

Trial& - Performing Arts is an interdisciplinary group of performing artists - experimental dancers and performers, that focuses on the interaction of dance, theater and audio-visual arts. Trial & was founded in the spring of 2019 as a test of a new artistic approach that explores the boundaries between different types of art with an emphasis on movement. The members (Marianna Kravida, Lydia Xourafi, Angeliki Petraki, Athena Stavropoulou) met at the Athens Dance Video Project Project 2019 -Promenade where they started their collaboration. Since then they continue their artistic research and composition using dance and theatre techniques. Their first project "Us, Joints" was created to ask questions about the future at a social level. The performative artwork "Us, Joints" was created out of a need to wonder about what has happened in social level and raise questions about the future and was presented at the TV Control Center (KET) in November 2019 getting an extension of performances. Continuing to create the current project “Medusa: a tentacle system” using as a springboard for his artistic research the eco-feminist movement and the practices that lead to equality and the dynamics of female existence in modern societies of the 21st century.
